A Subsidy of Up to 300,000 Yuan for Adding Jiaxing's Regional Elements? How Can "Mini Series+" Create New Possibilities?
 


Recently, Jiaxing in Zhejiang officially released the Support Policies for Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Mini Series Industry (Trial). The policy introduces full-chain support measures across five areas: content creation, industry clustering, talent cultivation, cultural export, and copyright protection. Through targeted government assistance and efficient service mechanisms, the policy aims to help the mini series industry achieve high-quality growth.

At present, Jiaxing is home to more than 49 mini series-related companies. In 2024, enterprises in the online drama sector reached a total revenue of about 4.2 billion yuan. The city has also built 10 mini series industrial platforms, making it an important creative hub for mini series in the Yangtze River Delta region. Mini series such as Ran Shao Ba, Cun BA (Burning, Village Basketball Association) and Luo Yang Nv Er Xing (Her Majesty), produced by Jiaxing Jiuzhou Wenhua Media Co., have recently become popular across the Middle East and Arab regions after being translated and processed with AIGC technology. The company's overseas mini series platform, ShortMax, now covers more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, with peak monthly active users exceeding 30 million.

Mini Series Qv Er Dai Zhi (Marry Him in Her Place) Sets Release for November 28
 


The 24-episode key mini series Qv Er Dai Zhi (Marry Him in Her Place) is scheduled for exclusive streaming on Tencent Video starting November 28. Produced by the Radio and Television Administration of Shandong Province, the series has been selected as a key project for the 2025 Shandong Province High-Quality Online Audiovisual Program. Directed by Dai Yiting and Zhou Xun, and starring Ren Shihao and Liu Nian, the series tells the story of Liang Yi and Lin Yun, who unite to thwart the revenge plot of the Song father and son. Through their journey, the series explores the awakening of personal and patriotic sentiments in turbulent times, emphasizing the life philosophy and compassionate spirit that "survival is more important than hatred."

The mini series Fu Xian Sheng, Qi Yue Hun Yin Gai Xv Qian Le (Mr. Fu, Time to Renew the Marriage Contract) officially premiered on the Douyin platform on November 28. Centered on the inheritance of the "renowned ancient prescription" Huoxiang Zhengqi, the series tells the growth story of the heroine Su Fuling, who steadfastly protects her family’s legacy and safeguards the ancient formula amidst family betrayal and corporate rivalries.Set against the urban landscape and cultural backdrop of Fuling, Chongqing, the series weaves together themes of love, business conflict, intangible cultural heritage, and cultural tourism. By blending "mini series + intangible cultural heritage + cultural tourism," it not only enriches the narrative depth and cultural value of series, but also provides a fresh narrative approach and communication pathway for local cultural tourism promotion.

Huangyan, Zhejiang: Using Mini Series to Chart a New Chapter in Exporting Celadon Culture
 


On November 28, the mini series Lian Lian Qing Ci (Love of Celadon) held its production launch ceremony in Hengxi Village, Shabu Town, Huangyan District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. Lian Lian Qing Ci focuses on the preservation of Shabu Celadon craftsmanship, an intangible cultural heritage. It integrates the profound celadon culture  with the stunning landscapes of Shabu to tell a romantic time-travel love story, offering a comprehensive showcase of Taizhou's unique celadon heritage and cultural tourism appeal. To further enhance the reputation of Shabu Celadon and expand its popularity and influence within Zhejiang Province and nationwide, a Shabu Celadon culture promotion event was also held during the launch ceremony.

Xinchang's First Ancient-Village Mini Series Mei Zhu Wang Shi (Stories of Meizhu) Wraps Filming
 


Recently, Mei Zhu Wang Shi (Stories of Meizhu), the first ancient-village mini series introduced by the Xinchang Cultural and Tourism Group and filmed entirely in Meizhu Village of Chengtang Subdistrict, successfully wrapped filming. Set against the backdrop of the classic Jiangnan Water Town, the series blends themes of intangible cultural heritage and rural revitalization. It is expected to be released in December on platforms such as Hongguo and Douyin.

Mei Zhu Wang Shi centers on an unexpected will, unfolding a family mystery about affection, ethics, and human nature. It not only has strong dramatic tension, but also deeply incorporates the historical heritage and intangible cultural traditions of Meizhu Ancient Village. Through its visual storytelling, it presents the unique landscape of Jiangnan Water Town. Viewers will experience the changes of the times and the warmth of village life as suspense and emotion intertwine within the broader context of rural revitalization.

Mini Series: A Time to Take Root and Grow Strong
 


The first Hongguo Creators Conference was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province from November 25 to 27. During the event, the School of Theatre, Film and Television  and the Institute of Art of the Communication University of China released the Cultural Value Report of the Mini Series Industry of Public Co-creation (hereinafter "the Report"). The Report, completed over six months and based on visits to multiple mini series production bases across the country, presents the first systematic articulation of the cultural, social, aesthetic, and industrial values of mini series.

At the launch, Professor Zhao Hui from the Communication University of China noted: "The integration of mini series with themes such as cultural tourism, traditional culture, legal education, public services, and sports has already demonstrated cultural vitality beyond traffic-driven storytelling." According to the Report, as the "mini series+" model continues to deepen, this emerging industry has shifted from "traffic harvesting" to "value accumulation," showcasing industrial characteristics of "Take Root Downward, Grow Upward, Break Through Inward, and Expand Outward."
